Over the years working in Hastings I have built up a relationship with numerous people, one of which required us to provide a doctor’s surgery within the shell of Ice House Hotel.
In order to achieve this, we had to employ a planning consultant to seek planning permission as the local authority wanted to retain the Ice House Hotel to further its tourism agenda. This meant that we had to provide evidence that the hotel was not viable and that the buyers would not purchase the building, which we successfully achieved with the help of the planning consultant.
We then set about preparing designs for the renovation which were tendered to several contractors, the contract being awarded, and the renovation commenced.
The end result is a doctors surgery in the Old Town in Hastings providing numerous consultancy rooms and substantial waiting room.
